Ramesh Anam Reddy, a member of the Indian diaspora who participated in the march, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are all here, the Indian diaspora in Washington DC, Maryland, and all the surrounding cities, to celebrate the ‘Unity Day’ and the joining of Prime Minister Modi and President Biden. This is a momentous occasion for all of us.” The gathering aimed to showcase the growing and beneficial relationship between India and America, highlighting the significant contributions India is making globally. The unity march attracted people from various backgrounds, including mainstream Americans who empathize with and support the cause.

Raj Bhansali, another participant in the rally, shared his sentiments, saying, “It feels great to be able to engage with our Indian community. It is a very proud moment for all of us that PM Modi will be visiting the United States.” The Indian community eagerly awaited the arrival of Prime Minister Modi, looking forward to the opportunity to interact with him and strengthen the ties between the two nations.

From June 21 to June 24, Prime Minister Modi will be visiting the United States at the invitation of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. This visit holds immense significance, as it symbolizes the strengthening of diplomatic relations between the two countries. During his stay, Prime Minister Modi will attend a state dinner on June 22 and address the Joint Session of the Congress. Additionally, on June 23, he will address an invitation-only gathering of diaspora leaders from across the country at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington DC.
